Advisors have their own preferences
The most important factors in purchasing new artworks are quality and innovation. Each advisor, however, has had his or her own personal vision. For this reason, the collection is actually a mosaic of the choices selected by its advisors. What the advisors have in common is their eye for innovative work and as yet undiscovered talent: the search for adventure in art.
“We never sell a piece of art,” says Sanders. “An art collection accumulated over time has something of a diary about it. If you sell something from twenty years ago, it’s like ripping a page out of your diary. Our goal is not to create a totally comprehensive collection but a collection that provides a portrait of the times as sketched by the advisors. That’s what makes this collection so unique." |
